A Sunny Nightmare: Soulland SS18

As we may have mentioned just a few times before, Soulland are one of our treasured favourites. Season after season of success, we just couldn’t wait to get our hands on Soullands SS18 collection. Based in Denmark, Soulland have been providing us with strong Scandinavian style since 2002, beginning as a home-based company. Strong contemporary notions, combined with their Scandinavian artisanship, Soulland’s designs are created for the modern man, taking minimalist attire to a different level.

The first and latest drop of SS18, a ‘Sunny Nightmare’ features fairly bold and bright colours, against varied graphics and intimate illustrations on print. Soulland themselves, describe the collection as a ‘duality of psychosis and journey from normal to insane’, and we’re on board. A hint of 70’s psychedelia is reflected in the printed T-shirts, hoodies and shirts and these are just a few of what’s to offer. Reflecting on the creative Soulland aesthetic, the first drop campaign images were shot by Creative Director Silas Adler against the brilliant backstage painting by Lothar Götz at the David Risley Gallery, very fitting with the SS18 feel. With a more poetic feel than their collections we have seen before, it is safe to say that we can expect playful vibes in what is to come.

Logo Embroidery is a number six favourite, this season coming to us in Orange, with a large 'SOULLAND' embroidery across the chest and a seriously vibrant colourway. The Sollezzo Sweatshirt shows the best of the best in Soulland's legendary slogan writing with contrast font embroidery across the chest. Featuring flatlock stitching, a brushed Italian fleece construction and ribbed cuffs, neckline, and hem.

Soulland Loke T-Shirt (Multi)

With an Alice in Wonderland-esque vibe,The Loke T-shirt is a lightweight durable T-shirt with spring summer written all over it. It features an all over floral-influenced print, a classic crewneck cut and reinforced baseball stitching to help it stand the test of time.
