New to Number Six: M.C.Overalls
October 03, 2017Founded way back in 1908 by two brothers and a close friend, M.C. Overalls has been revived in 2017 to continue producing clothing for the hard workers of the world. As a British workwear brand, the team over at M.C. Overalls are carrying on the dedication from Morris Cooper, Myer Cooper and Louis Maister, who taught themselves how to tailor in the early 1900s, and went on to produce clothes for factory workers back in the day.
"doesn't compromise on authenticity"
Giving new life to the brand’s original mindset, M.C. Overalls still produce clothing with a strong history of workwear influence behind it. The team have crafted a range of daily staples that are part of the ‘form follows function ’ design process. That sturdy working heritage is woven right into every piece from the AW17 collection. It appreciates our contemporary ways, fits right into a modern lifestyle and doesn’t compromise on authenticity.
"how menswear should be done"
When we bring in a new brand to join us at Number Six , we like to make sure they’ve got the right idea about how menswear should be done. M.C. Overalls are for those of us who like doing things our own way. The collection is minimal enough that each piece has almost unlimited styling options, which helps us get even better looks together, but doesn’t help our ever-expanding wardrobes. These pieces are designed to allow us to adapt the collection to our own everyday needs. It lets us do what we do best, and stay well dressed at all times.
Staff Picks...
This week we got Matt to choose his highlights from the AW17 collection. Here’s what he had to say on it all…
“I’ve got my eye on the Double Sweat full sweatsuit. The sweatshirt is the thickest, nicest fabric I’ve felt in a sweat for a while. It has a zip up pocket which is a nice, handy addition. The same goes for the matching sweatpants , they just feel really cosy and perfect for winter.”
