Soulland presents: 'The Devil and The Dust' for AW17
September 22, 2017With an easy 15 years' experience under their belts, the guys at Soulland are back with their AW17 collection: 'The Devil and The Dust'. You know you can count on Jacob, Silas & the team to bring in a strong concept time and time again. This season they're about contrast: different sensations being brought together to tell us a story. And a good one, at that.
"doing things differently"
There's a mixture of extremes across the whole collection; youth going head to head with the drastic violence of war. The Terry T-Shirt's impressive graphic print tells you everything you need to know: 'bombing for peace is like fucking for virginity'. The more eagle-eyed amongst us might even recognise this slogan from a photo of an anti-Vietnam war protester in 1969.
It's that rebellious nature that keeps us interested. Doing things differently is right at the core of Number Six, and it's why these Scandinavian design-Titans are always a no-brainer for effortless cool. As the ultimate provider of easy going, laid back cuts, any piece you've got your eye on from this season's offering is going to serve you well. These guys remember where they've grown from, but make sure they keep pushing forward into that ever-changing world of menswear.
Soulland Lakin Western Corduroy Jacket (Dark Green) - £175
"heritage artisanal craftsmanship... with a contemporary feel"
The Lakin Western Corduroy Jacket and Boege Coat are prime examples of that heritage artisanal craftsmanship that's brought up to date with an obvious contemporary feel. This is a process we're seeing more and more of recently, and if you're anything like us, you won't be complaining either. Fabric is key, the Lakin Jacket is made from a heavyweight corduroy that's surprisingly easy to pull off. Put it with a pair of Dickies, an Airwrecka T-Shirt, some suede Converse, and you've got yourself a look. Job done.
This week we've given pride of place to these guys, why not have a gander at our window just below? If you've got any questions, would like to place an order, or get in touch about something else, email us at info@numbersixlondon.com or call us on 020 7392 9686 and we'll get back to you ASAP.
