New Season goods and the SALE continues

Happy New Year's are in order.......a big welcome to 2011 and a fond farewell to 2010. May it be your best one ever. We are certainly looking forward to what this next 12 months may bring and are getting ever so slightly excited at the prospect of all of the fine garments that we ordered way back in August coming through the doors of Number Six. But to keep you satisfied until the flood gates open and all the good stuff comes rolling in, we have already got some early tasty teasers of new season collections. Firstly, one of the finds of 2010 and a brand that is going to be a big hitter for Number Six in 2011 is NN07. Those clever old Danes from NN07 have a knack of bringing home the bacon when it comes to producing some of the most carefully considered and exquisitely produced menswear that we have stumbled across since opening. The real beauty of NN07, is the pure sublety and detail as well as the fit all of which could be overlooked by lesser appreciative followers of fashion but for us, this is what mens clothing is all about. More to come from NN07 later on in the month. Also in from Barbour is a rather nice Spring version of the all time classic Barbour International jacket in a light but durable nylon shell with a shirt weight classic Barbour check lining all for the bargain cost of £149. We have these in three fine colours but they will not be around for too long at that price from Barbour so we suggest you move swiftly to avoid disappointment. Our favourite flag bearer of the 1950's Americana preppy look Mr Ralph Lauren has also been busy working hard, packing boxes to ensure a delivery (ok, maybe Ralph can afford to delegate the box packing to some minnions at this stage in his career) arrived at Number Six HQ right at the beginning of the season. And whilst we were slightly surprised to open the boxes and find a brightly coloured selection of short sleeved polos, shorts and chinos looking like they were ready to join someone on their Summer time break, we lovingly unpacked them, hung them in the store and got them on the site because at the end of the day, it was Ralph ....and we are all very partial to a bit of Ralph. The eagerly anticipated Mark McNairy New Amsterdam and Bass Weejun shoes have finally arrived also. To say we have been waiting a little while for these would be the biggest understatement of 2011 so far but now that they are here, it would definitely be fair to say that we are more then a little happy with what has turned up. The quality of the Mark McNairy Made In America Bass Weejuns far surpasses any other shoes of that ilk coming out of North America today and the Mark McNairy New Amsterdams (hand made right here in sunny Northampton) are an exceptionally well made and unique looking shoe that is going to garner you plenty of admiring looks when you step out in them in the coming months. Finally, and last but not least the Number Six SALE continues and despite the massive rush both online and in the store during the last days of 2010, there is still plenty of bargains to be had. Our advice, get on in there. Right, that is it from our first newsletter of 2011 so as we mentioned earlier, have a good one and we look forward to this year bringing health, wealth and happiness to one and all.
